Let’s make Duluth a better place to live all year long
With your support, we can improve the accessibility, safety, and well-being of our community all year long by keeping Duluth’s sidewalks clear of snow and ice.
A Better Future Means
Accessibility for All
By making sidewalks accessible all year, we can create an environment where everyone can access transportation, public spaces, and essential services regardless of age or ability.
Increased Public Safety
With the prompt clearance of snow and ice from sidewalks, we can actively reduce the risk of suspicious criminal activity and minimize injuries from falls, while enhancing driver visibility.
Enhanced Well-Being
Whether you’re commuting to work, engaging in daily exercise, or participating in social and civic activities, clear sidewalks are vital to healthy, interconnected communities.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors to Keep Duluth’s Sidewalks Clear of Snow & Ice
While the City of Duluth manages snow clearance adjacent to city property, effective sidewalk snow removal throughout the city requires collaboration from everyone in the community.
However, as the BMN Group behind this movement, we acknowledge that not everyone can clear snow from their sidewalk. We also recognize that sidewalks connect homes, bus stops, businesses, parking spaces, and essential services within our extensive transportation network.
That’s why we aim to develop, support, and empower a social network of neighbors fostering a collaborative spirit of “Minnesota Nice” by helping each other clear sidewalks and walkways to maintain mobility choices and accessibility in all seasons.
